En 1984 cuatro guitarristas amigos iniciaron una actividad conjunta sin sospechar que pudiera surgir con los años un grupo camerístico tan original y tan afianzado e influyente en el panorama de la música de los siglos XX y XXI.
A día de hoy, su trayectoria internacional abarca más de 40 países de 4 continentes con presencia en salas de primer orden internacional. En su trayectoria de cuarteto solista con orquesta sinfónica, EntreQuatre ha trabajado con la Orchestra St Cecilia de Dublín (Irlanda), la Orquesta Nacional de El Salvador, la Orquesta Sinfónica de Cochabamba (Bolivia), la Orquesta Filarmónica de Montevideo (Uruguay), la Orquesta Metropolitana de Lisboa (Portugal) y la Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (España) con la que graba el Concierto Andaluz de Joaquín Rodrigo para el prestigioso sello discográfico de Naxos.
En 2009 coincidiendo con su 25 aniversario, el cuarteto recibe uno de los reconocimientos más importantes de su historia al obtener una nominación a los Grammy’s Latinos la obra 4 Asimetrías de Orlando Jacinto García; obra incluía en el disco aclamado por la crítica grabado junto al prestigioso Cuarteto Latinoamericano titulado Tierras Juntas.
EntreQuatre ha inspirado la creación de nuevas obras para cuatro guitarras marcando una nueva concepción y un cambio de paradigma en la composición aplicada a la formación en el panorama de la música contemporánea de los siglos XX y XXI, teniendo en su haber más de cien obras dedicadas y estrenadas de grandes compositores españoles y latinoamericanos con un repertorio respetado e interpretado internacionalmente por otros cuartetos. Entre estos compositores figuran Carlos Cruz de Castro, Miguel del Águila, Moisés Arnáiz, Imanol Bageneta, Jose Luis Barroso, Javier Blanco, Gustavo Becerra-Schmit, Alejandro Cardona, Enrico Chapela, Flores Chaviano, Fernando Colás, Francisco Cuenca, María Escribano, Gabriel Fdez. Álvez, Orlando J. García, Tomás Garrido, Jose Mª García Laborda, Radamés Gnatalli, Agustín González Acilu, Rey Guerra, Fredrick Kaufman, Jose Manuel Lorenzo, Marisa Manchado, Jonatas Manzolli, Juan Méndez, Emiliano Pardo, Leonardo Sánchez, Raúl do Valle o Paquito D’Rivera.
En 2022 el cuarteto realizó una gira mundial dentro del proyecto del V Centenario de la primera vuelta al mundo llevado a cabo por el Gobierno de España con motivo del 500 aniversario de la primera circunnavegación de Magallanes y Elcano actuando en los principales lugares donde recaló la famosa expedición que culminó con la grabación del documental “Amarras” en Tierra del Fuego bajo la dirección del director chileno Ronnie Radonich.
Actualmente el cuarteto se encuentra preparando la temporada 2023/2024 coincidente con su 40 aniversario. Así mismo, continúan trabajando en el campo de la investigación para la recuperación e interpretación de obras históricas originales para cuarteto de guitarras de autores tan prestigiosos y relevantes para la historia de la formación como el compositor vasco Aita Madina.

In 2022 the quartet made a world tour within the project of the V Centenary of the first circumnavigation of the world carried out by the Spanish Government on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation by Magellan and Elcano, performing in the main places where the famous expedition landed, culminating with the recording of the documentary «Amarras» in Tierra del Fuego under the direction of the Chilean director Ronnie Radonich.
